I change oil in my vehicles when the odometers turn over another 5000 miles. Easy to remember when it's time- 40K, 45K, 50K etc.

Not only this but I re base my mileage to these numbers when I get an oil change. It's probably overkill but say I get an oil change at 66700, my next oil change will be 70k regardless, so it also allows wiggle room if I get to 71k or whatever but rounding down to these big number helps me keep on top of it.

I set my tripmeters when I change the oil. Then I only use one for trips. And I aim for even 5k numbers. But life gets in the way. 1500 miles early last change. Might go +500 until I’m back to even.
