I'm wondering too.I wonder if you can turn it off via a tune?
Mine are plugged in and spinning (radiator and intercooler motor) and I have not gotten any CLE.I dunno, about finding an end point, some dude opened the motor and played with a lil bit on his ram, and no cell from his truck

Very important info, thxThe Active Grille shutters are controlled and monitored by the PCM. Disconnecting or removing them will generally not cause a CEL, since they are not engine performance/emissions critical. You will, however, have DTCs stored in the PCM.
Their purpose is to improve engine warmup when it's cold, and increase airflow to the heat exchangers when warm.
