GEN 2 Catch can after almost 2k

Hey guys I installed this around 2000 miles ago and wanted to see what it would collect here’s my results I’m pretty happy considering seeing other guys cans filled with something other then just a small amount of oil let me know what you guys think.

Yeah i saw so many videos and pictures of guys having a milky oily substance some guy said he was checking his every oil change it was almost filling the 3 oz container im over here after 2k with like not even 1/2 an ounce. You have a few ounces at 80k makes me wonder what those guys are running and how they are driving in order to get this.

It'll change on driving habits and condition of rings. If you're not getting much that's a good thing. Also good you can monitor it oil change to oil change. Someone had posted they were filling their can up between oil changes...that's not good.

My opinions on catch cans changed once i realized they are inoperable when the manifold is under boost.

The key to a “correct” CC setup is extremely short hoses and an efficient baffle to separate the oil out of the air. Winter time or wide temp swings from very cold creates a lot of condensation making any oil in the CC into a milky slurry. My 2018 has 90k miles and the Ford Air/Oil Separator (the best setup IMO) collects about an ounce of clean oil in 5k mile oil change.

My opinions on catch cans changed once i realized they are inoperable when the manifold is under boost.

Love to hear more on that to understand that better. Under boost blow-by would happen more so where does the manifold come into play?
