I went with the standard. In reality, whatever finish they come in is irrelevant for me. I have a set of 20" Fuel Savage wheels that I plan on swapping into eventually. Plus, I'm just not a fan of the styling on the forged wheels. They look like **** Cepeck wheels from the mid 90s.

I have seen some mention aftermarkets. 20" wheels means new tires correct? I wonder how dramatically it would change the ride. Isn't the suspension and axles etc tuned for 35" tires and 17" wheels? I'm kinda partial to the aggressive 35" tires and 17". Larger wheels with smaller tires will make this look more luxury than sporty in my opinion. That is if they don't make 35" compatable with 20" rims then I would reconsider.

Not really a fan of black wheels so it would be cast wheels for me. Also if I bought the beadlocks I'd be pissed that they are only "beadlock capable."

I'm not sure if the suspension is "tuned" for a particular tire and wheel setup. About half of the Raptors I see on the roads now are running aftermarket wheels and tires. So the assumption is that it's probably no different than adding aftermarket wheels and tires to any other truck.

There are plenty of options for 35s for 20" wheels. For my taste, 20" wheels suit full size trucks nicely. Of course, that's based purely upon looks.

I have had so many problems with aftermarket wheels, that I decided to get the forged beadlocks when I put in my order. I just don't want to deal with the issues I have had on my F350 because of my aftermarket wheels.

I'll go with the base wheels. I don't love the look of the new bead locks (I did like the ones on the Gen 1 though). If I was going to use the bead locks, I'd probably just go stock and then get methods. Similar price when you factor in that you have to buy the bead lock rings even if you buy the bead lock option wheels.

Not a huge fan of the machined stock wheels vs the black ones that were shown at shows earlier on. That being said, powder coating in my area only runs like $60 a rim (and plastidip is super cheap) so I can change the color easily. I'm flip flopping between getting a white or blue truck. If I keep the stock wheels long term, I'll probably do something like black or bright blue on white or dark bronze on blue. Probably won't do anything after delivery besides drive the truck for a bit (and maybe a tune).

Let me caution you against 20" wheels. I made this mistake when I ordered my 2011 FX4. Thought they looked better than the base 17" wheels, which they did. Then the first time I took it off road and rubbed the shiny clearcoat off of a section of the wheel against a rock it became VERY clear to me why sidewall height is important in off road applications, keeping the damn rim above obstacles that might otherwise damage it.

What ever you choose, I hope you're happy with it.

Respectfully
