People act like fvking kids about ****.Some people need to grow up I'm sure you got a box with the part number on them.

Here is the part number for the shift assembly, I don't think you will be able to buy knob by itself, as I get more part numbers I will post them.

I was able to remove the knob form the assembly so that I could install with my orange and black leather boot. Its very simple to get the leather up and remove 2 Phillips screws to remove the knob.

Can you go in depth on how to change just the shifter knob? I picked one up yesterday and am planning on trying to install it this Saturday!

You have to remove the console in order to get the boot up. If you pull it downward your going to break the clips

Look at the shift assembly. You have to remove remove the leather boot from the surround. Once you do that you lift up the boot to get access to the 2 screws in the front remove the 2 screws and the shifter will come off. Once off you have to press down the tab to remove the leather boot.

I got one too, but I am in the same boat. No idea how to install it.

you need to pull the center console apart.

1. pull center speaker grille off
2. remove 2 7mm screws under the grille
3. pop the center tray up
4. remove 2 more 7mm screws
5. carefully pry the nav surround off along with all the hvac stuff, its all one piece
6. remove 2 more 7mm screws at the very bottom right about the sync plate and pop that trim piece off,
pry the side pieces out, the ones that have the hvac vents
7. open the lid to the center console/armrest
8. using a trim tool carefully pry the piece up around the shifter
9. unclip the leather shifter boot from the trim piece
10. remove 2 small philps head screws from the shifter
11. unplug the shift knob
12. pull up on know
13. replace knob with new CF piece
14. put it back together.

TAKE YOUR TIME, there are a lot of clips. if you need to much force then try a different angle. i HIGHLY recommend you go to napa auto parts and purchase there trim tool kit. its very useful.
its not hard, you just need to take your time.
