For on road traveling, I have her Safety1st seat on the right side. But I'm looking at the Recaro seats now for more comfort and bigger size then install it on the left or right side again.

Helmets: dirtbike helmets, good ventilation, not too heavy.

Britax for our youngest. Super safe seats and high quality. She is 5 now and could legally be out of it. However, it will be forever before she outgrows it so she is staying in it. Gives her the best seat in the truck. Five point harness, padded and side impact protection. My wife wants one too for the 5 point etc lol. Little one occasionally falls asleep while on off road trips. She is still safe that way.

As for helmets both my kids use their DOT rated atv helmets when needed.

We just moved up to the first step above the carrier/base that works with the stroller. It is the chico one that has the 9 recline settings to get it to be at the right angle. It is rear facing now, and will go forward after she is 2. I put it on the passenger side because I wanted to use the LATCH system.

What are some good suggestions for booster seats? My six year old is too tall for any of these. The booster locks down pretty well in the car but I haven't had her in the truck yet. The other issue I foresee is her legs hanging without support on longer trips. I'd like to get something that will be more comfortable yet still provide the safety she needs.

Sits behind the passenger and I have a protective mat under it to protect the truck seat :)

I can't believe I am researching child car seats on FRF.... must be something wrong with me, lol...

@KaiserM715, do you have infant car seats in your raptor? How do they fit being a SCAB? Where do you have them mounted? - BTW I will be in your situation in about 5 months....

Which model Britax did you go with?

Joe, make sure you get one that converts each step of the way. Especially needing two. I didn't realize when buying the first one that he'd need a new one in a year or so.
