This is funny but I was actually wondering about this recently. I have only ever bought vehicles from the lot and the mileage varied. What is an appropriate expected mileage on your new raptor that you custom ordered from the factory, when you go to pick it up?
It depends if the factory used it to test or not, can be 10-100 miles

I am dealing with the same thing. I am wanting to sign the paperwork before it gets here (likely next week), os that I can just pick the truck up when it arrives. Radio silent on the dealer's end as far as a response. Did everything go smoothly with yours once it was delivered?
Yes went smoothly but I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I had pretty much nothing in writing. I went in 3 days before it arrived (coincidence) to get my trade evaluated, tried to get stuff signed but left with them just running OTD numbers with my trade.

Sales guy just asked for a good review before I left with the truck.

Yep doesn't give the warm & fuzzy, I mean I've always had great experiences with my dealer on the Gen 2 ownership & the Gen 3 order, but we hear so many dirty tricks that go on I just hope I'm being told the truth!!

Called the dealer that received my truck & left a V/M for one of the sales managers about working with my dealer to pick it up. We'll see if he calls me back?
Update:

My dealer is legit....seriously thankful for that!! The dealer sales manager in Michigan did call me back and was totally kool & ok if my dealer would allow me to do the paperwork & pick it up. The Michigan dealer even said he would prep it for me if I wanted.

So I then made the 45 minute drive to my dealer to get the situation settled in person. My sales rep put me in touch with the sales manger who said the GM would not allow me to pick it up at another dealer because of the Pre delivery inspection issue. The sales manager also shared pics of the VIN, tailgate, and the hood which seem to show damage to the hood. So as bad as I want the truck I have relented to wait for the truck to be delivered to my dealer.

They offered to send employees to go pick it up and drive it back the 350 mls. and I declined. So they are trying to work with the Zone manager to figure out who's paying for the transportation! Obviously Jack Cooper messed this up, but if we wait on Jack Cooper to fix this it could take a month! Hopefully the Indy Area Zone Rep will approve 3rd party transportation so the truck can be delivered asap!

Finally, the reason I offered to go 350 miles to pick it was that I am an airline employee and can fly from Indy to Detroit for free. Also I have a family member who could drive me to the Michigan dealer. Plus had family plans in southern Michigan this weekend so I figured I would turn an unfortunate situation into an adventure!!

This is frustrating, but pales in comparison to the FRF user, I’ve forgotten who, ordered a Gen 2 and the stealership discovered upon delivery the cab was severely damaged on transport. I don’t recall the outcome, but the damage looked pretty bad. Imagine that level of frustration.

Stuff happens. Patience is called for right now, fingers x’d you are squared away soon.

It’s yours if you put money down and the vin on the paperwork matches!
yeah no. It could be damaged enroute in a thousand different ways.........or delivered to the wrong dealer.

It ain't yours until you take delivery.

I don't think there is an IQ test for the delivery section of dealerships. It's a mistake, and mistakes happen.

As a side note. most owners don't meticulously track their vehicles through production and delivery, and probably wouldn't have caught this temporary mistake to begin with.

Well, I paid for mine and waited for it to be delivered, it was mine the whole time. Maybe you need better laws in the USA, this wrong dealership crap don't happen up here. Just sayin...
