So, I am having shifting issues and my transmission may require a new valve body/tcm. And from Ford it's about 1500 for the 5.4 truck, which I have. But the 6.2 setup is 650 bucks from Ford. Now, I spoke to a valve body rebuild error, and he told me that there is only 1 valve body for the 6r80. And that the tcm that I need to use is based on my truck with the 5.4. And since I can't just buy a tcm from Ford, I would have to buy the whole assembly. Now, why can't I run a tcm from a 6.2 truck, since they sell those separately? Can anyone answer this for me?
