GEN 2 Cam phaser issues and oil leak from valve stem

Has anyone had issues with oil leaking from valve stems? Just noticed on my Gen 2 @ 52j miles. Also still fighting my local dealer as far as cam phasers, has anyone had any luck getting them fixed?

Valve stems like on tires? Or valve covers on top of the engine?

I have a cracked valve cover, been waiting on backorder since July 1st.

I had a cracked valve cover towards the front (closest to the bumper). A lot of people have similar issues from what I researched. Dealer did replace the cam phasers but that opened up a whole new bag of worms, but I wont derail your thread...

Mine was also on backorder but they got one in about 6-7 weeks ago. You should have definitely gotten one by now... I only had to wait about a month once ordered end of September.

I called the dealership beginning of November, they said 6800 were on back-order and that the manufacturer had released 47 the week before. I don't like my dealership but they said they'd cover it under warranty that expired end of June.

Maybe I got lucky then... At least they are covering it under warranty for whenever you get yours. For a temp fix I put some JB weld on the area that had cracked and it held up well. Wouldn't be worried about leaving the temp fix for awhile based on the results I had.
