...those idiots at the dealer...

This is the #1 problem for all oems. Well, except for gm. They just can’t design anything worth a nickel since the 1960s. They went to shit in the 70s with the “gas” crisis and have never recovered.

Anyone with a 2019 Raptor having this issue? I am reading this thread and getting nervous waiting on my 2019 to be built.

My ‘12 ecoboost had it. My ‘18 raptor has it. I think it is a strong possibility 19’s will too. Call me a hater, but ima hatin’...

How did you get them to cover new engine? Mine has been garbage for awhile now and those idiots at the dealer think it's ok as is.

What do you mean by garbage? What's it doing? Mine had actual problems that they couldn't deny... I don't trust it now, but all I can do is drive it and see what happens.

My 17' has been at the dealer for 2 months come next week for the came phaser issue. Engine rebuild waiting on parts. Very frustrating.

Guess they have to make the parts to order this is just not right

Apparently a lot of backordered parts. The last part is off backorder as of last week, but they won't ship it until March 4th. The service manager has been great to deal with, but Ford itself is killing me.. going from a raptor to a 2wd as base as can be f150 hasn't been fun either. But if that's the biggest complaint in my life, I can handle it. Thankful for the CPO warranty.

2017 w/27k miles. Roush CAI and Stainless Works downpipes and exhaust. Cam phaser broke, and it took them 6 weeks to replace it and the cylinder head. Ticking noise on cold starts. They had it for two more weeks recently, declared it fixed, but the ticking remains.

That's a lot of teardown to get at the cyl head. I'm curious how many hours the poor Tech got paid for that one. A new engine probably should have gone in while the cab was removed. Hopefully your fixed and it doesn't have to come apart again
