Cam Phaser/ Engine Failure Poll

What do you think this sound is? I dropped my 2018 off at the dealer today. When I played the video for the service writer, he got me a rental and an appointment right away. For what it's worth, I posted this video in another discussion inadvertently. I deleted it and brought it here. Don't want anyone thinking I'm trolling. New to this.

How many miles are on your 2018 and about how many miles were there when you started to notice the issue?

They bought my 19 back, and I ended up in a non eco until Ford straightens up.

I have 23K on it now. I noticed the rattle around 13K, it wasn't every time I started.

Sorry to hear you are having an issue. 23K is still a new engine. Hope all goes well for you...

So far they think it's in my left turbo. Getting looked at now.

I had an appointment for first thing this morning. They heard it on start up and nothing else was done today. Told me that it sounded like the left turbo. Will look into it tomorrow. 2 days down, 28 to go.

FYI, you're probably aware but look for the "cam phaser issue" on youtube so you can hear what it sounds ilke (if you haven't already). I would strongly agree that it's the chain slip sound from the cam phaser issue. If that dealer maintains that it's a turbo, you should prob go to a different dealer. If they say it's the turbo and replace it, then you'll lose "strike one" for the issue if you try to lemon it... But, to be fair, if it is the turbo, that's way better than the cam issue... keep us up to date and thanks for the info...
