Correct.Bought it back because they couldn’t fix it?
What do you think this sound is? I dropped my 2018 off at the dealer today. When I played the video for the service writer, he got me a rental and an appointment right away. For what it's worth, I posted this video in another discussion inadvertently. I deleted it and brought it here. Don't want anyone thinking I'm trolling. New to this.
I have the start up rattle and I also have a tick once warm which sounds like it's coming from the passenger side of the motor. It isn't the injectors which can be fairly loud on these motors. It's loud enough that I've had car people ask about it (including GM techs). I can hear it in the cab with the radio and air off.I have a 17' with 30K miles, I get a similar rattle on cold start ups, but not nearly as loud. I also hear a small tick, which sounds like valve train tick when I'm idling. I can hear it in the truck with the radio off, and my neighbor heard when they were standing on the passenger side, and asked what that noise was.
Does this sound like the Cam-Phaser?
Also, my buddy has a 17' with around the same mileage, and I heard his rattle pretty loudly the other day when he started in the morning.

That sounds bad!
If you go on the F150 forums you'll see that the 2018+ 5.0 is having more issues than the Ecos. They bought my 19 back, and I ended up in a non eco until Ford straightens up.
I spend some time over at f150 and it looks like the 2019 5.0s are having the same problems. It seems like ford is just giving away long blocks over there. If you go on the F150 forums you'll see that the 2018+ 5.0 is having more issues than the Ecos.
