This poll here would argue that 25% of FRF has the issue. Not only that, but had it more than once.

Jake, being that this is a scientific poll and all, with an error of margin of "how ever many Raptors you don't really own", you should consider going back through all the posts and assign each one of the
"yes" votes to each distinct case that has been posted in this thread.

Build Date 1/18/2018 - Cam Phaser issues started at 11k miles. Currently have 13k miles but dealer will not make the repairs because my rattle is "Below the threshold"....

They said that with a straight face? If you actually have the rattle that lasts more than a second or 2, something is out of spec.

There is no “threshold” unless they’ve actually done a tear down and taken some readings and measurements.

either call ford c/s or find another dealer or both.

Ford website shows a new special service message # 48168 regarding "ticking/tapping or rattle type noise on start up after a cold soak" >>> says possibly due to worn variable cam timing units, and then to replace all 4 of them - specifically states do not replace timing chain, tensioners, guides etc. unless inspection "clearly identifies a concern". SSM also states TSB will be published 4th quarter 2019... INTERESTING

Agreed! Owners need to stop bending over and taking the dealerships word and gospel and flood Ford with the issue until it's fixed.

Why would it be so interesting to somebody that's never owned a Gen2.

did someone say sasquatch77?

Good call Smurf! Didn't notice his one and only post. What's up with all these members joing just to announce they have a problem with the Gen2 and go on a forum to complain the delaer tells them to kick rocks??? Anytime I've ever had an issue with a dealer it gets resolved... just takes a bit of effort.
