Thanks, can i go to any shop to install? Will a Ford dealer install it?

My dealer won't install aftermarket mods but different dealers have different policies. I chose a reputable shop that does suspension mods. Not a particularly difficult job. Just find a shop rated decently and call them to make sure they are into it.

I am having the RPG stage 2 kit installed on Tuesday. The kit cost 1600 from offroad alliance and the shop estimate is 2 hours at 85 per hour for install. Nothing beats the RPG stage 2 kit no matter what others may say. You get the frame reinforced and Fox 2.5 bumps. There is a significant difference between the 2.0 and 2.5 bumps. Do it right the first time.

i think the RPG Stage 3 kits beats it by 1. ;)

I went with the stage 3 on mine which includes the Deaver +3s. If you are planning to run 37s, the +3s are a must. Choose a reputable shop for the install, as it is not easy to do by yourself.

LOL...you're right. I'm actually doing the stage 3 but I had Deaver custom build the springs so I didn't technically buy it as a kit. My goal with the mod is to be able to tow an overland trailer...Patriot X3 if you are familiar....without losing the Raporability. I set up a base camp then go exploring/raptoring around the area. Working with Deaver was a fantastic experience as they understood what I was trying to do and suggested a cheaper alternative. That being a modified stock spring with a couple of extra leafs. I told them I preferred their +3 either SD or HD but they talked me out of it. It's a fine balance between being able to tow a 3500lb trailer(Fully Loaded) and being able to retain the Raptor off road characteristics. The guys at Deaver and the Guys at RPG figure I'll actually slightly improve the Raporability while still being able to tow the trailer to base camp with confidence. I'll probably need to carry a couple hundred pounds in the back when not towing but they weren't sure about that so I'll be testing that out.

Interesting, so would it have worked out to like a +4 HD or what do you think the extra leafs made it in the end?

The stocl suspension is considered a 2 stage rear spring wheras the Deaver prepacked kits are single stage. I can't equate the end result to a Deave +3 or +4 because the way they did it I retained the 2 stage spring and by adding additional leafs it is stiffer. I'm sure if it's stiffer in the first stage of compression or the second stage I just know it's different than the pre packaged kits and allows me to tow and carry gear without squatting while retaining the stock performance unloaded and without being *** high(1/2" over stock) when empty.

I’m running the SVC adjustable bump stop kit with King 2.5 bumps and Deaver +2’s. I wanted the ability to be able to adjust them when I tow (I tow a 5,000 Lb travel trailer). It’s a really nice kit as far as fit and finish goes and the guys over at SVC are very cool to deal with (they’re about an hour away from me so easy to jam up when things are in stock) and the install was simple for the most part. As others mentioned , I would install when/if you do your Leafs as well.

I need to replace factory rear bumpstops but getting them in this part of the world isn't easy!! (3 months by slow boat via Ford!!!)
Has anyone got a factory rear bumpstop they can give me some measurements of and tell me what the thread is?
I'm trying to find a generic aftermarket one to fit.
