Hey fellas,

Do any of you have experience with Bullet Liner? I’m considering them over Line-X. They claim good UV protection but is it really? It tends to be a little more affordable than Line-X too.

Real life reviews, comments, or well crafted trolling appreciated.

Did research on some other forums. BulletLiner was created by the founder of Line-X. He made it after selling Line-X and completing his non-compete agreement. The claim is that he changed the formula to make it more durable and UV resistant.

I guess I'm gonna find out if that's true. Looking on the f150forum I get a lot of people that swear by it and one that complained of peeling. That one complaint could be from a poor install job but BulletLiner promises a lifetime guarantee and it can be repaired at any certified installer. It helps that there is a nearby installer.

Now, I'm trying to find a used DiamondBack HD tonneau. Might have to suck it up and buy new.

My plan is this. Continue to use my weathertech bed liner for as long as I own my truck.

When it is time to sell, I will remove the bed liner and get a fresh spray of line-x.

To me, a 5 year old spray of any kind looks as bad as a 5 year old bed with no protection. So i will wait till the end to make the bed "look new" again. And my weathertech will keep big dents, dings, and scratches away.

Is the Weathertech still the hard slippery plastic, or is it something different now?

it is softish. very bendy. yest rigid to hold shape. has a texture to keep things from sliding around.

I have had mine for 12 months now and very happy with it.

It looks good from here. My Line X was like that when new, but it's not quite so pristine now. I've used it and it's had oil spilled on it and such. No functional degradation so far as I can tell. I'll go spray in the next time as i like that option.

I have Line-x on mine. Have it for a year and a half and no problems with it...
