This year is LINE-X's 20th anniversary. There will be a couple of surprises coming and one of them will absolutely BLOW their competition away. I mean ALL of their competition including Bullet. I can't tell you what the surprises are now, you will have to wait!

Can you at least give us a timeframe on this surprise? I was planning on having the girlfriend take my truck in for me to get LINE-X done. If this is soon though and you suggest waiting for it then I think I will.

LINE-X Platinum will be available some time in July. Platinum is non-fading like LINE-X Premium, but is 300% tougher for extreme duty. This is the "blow away" product. It has an extremely high tear and tensile strengths. Also, LINE-X Body Armour will be out some time this summer. Body Armour has been applied to the Discovery Channel's Storm Chaser Dominator vehicles and the West Coast Custom's Camaro (SEMA 2012). Body Armour is 100% aliphatic spray polyurea available in colors which is extremely rare. This is a specialty product, so I'm sure it won't be cheap. Also, this summer, LINE-X will begin rolling out their own brand of accessories starting with step bars. The step bars have been designed by Ground Effects, Ltd. (GFX) to OEM specifications. GFX is a tier 1 upfitter for Ford, GM, and Chrysler Group. (Google search Ground Effects, Ltd., you will find them). The step bars will be stainless steel and 3.5-inch round, 5-inch oval straight bar, and a 5-inch straight bar with 30-degree bends at the ends.

Can you shed more light on the Body Armor? Is this Line-X's answer for a full body liner? Is it lighter, tougher, and more durable? Thanks for all the good info!

Any of the LINE-X products can be applied to the exterior. But, Body Armour:
1. Has a more refined texture.
2. Has more of a satin finish as opposed to glossy like the other LINE-X products.
3. Is pretty light. The weight increase on that Camaro is less than 75 pounds.
4. It's stronger than Premium, but it's just shy of being as strong as Platinum (which is also available in colors).

LINE-X dealers have to "tool up" for Body Armour. It requires some specific equipment not used with the other products.

Keep in mind that the Storm Chaser's Dominator vehicles (two of them) have been through countless hail storms and tornados.

Not sure if ill need the platinum. I had regular line-x put on my old truck 8 years ago and it only has one little gouge in it. That's from plenty of heavy containers being hauled in the back and dirt bikes going in and out. Thanks for the info big block.
