For those that have taken their oem lug nuts off (I have not yet on my 19), do the OEM lug nuts have the washer part on the bottom so they dont gouge/mark up the wheel surface? I dont think the Gorilla lug nuts have the washer either.

No washer. Decorative cap is formed over the nut.

I called McCard. They highly recommend the bulge. They told me to buy them on Amazon - cheaper. 64074 (black lugs) $21.01 set of 4 bulge lugs. (McCard’s price $35.12). Look great.

Again, cheapest and best option for the bulge type is the Gorilla. Paying over $120 if you do the McGards in sets of 4.

Are the McGards better. I’ve heard the Gorillas are the way to go from several folks on the forum.

Gorilla is cheaper, yes. Best option? Not for me.

I went with McGard (Black Bulge Cone 64074) because I read a lot of reviews (here on FRF) about Gorillas easily scratching and rusting over time. I just put the McGards on my Rap, so we’ll see how they hold up. So far I like them.

Now that I look into it more I see fans of both. Did find the McGards a bit cheaper than the Amazon listing at Summit Racing for 18.99 for set of 4.

That was the best price I found too. I'm surprised how conflicting recommendations are out there on different sites, for what lugs fit the Fords with OEM wheels.

I JUST PUT THESE ONMY 2018 --- 2 of the OEM's were a bitch to get off -- i just don't understand how ford thinks their lug nuts are remotely OK on a 70,000.00 truck

2015-2020 F150/RAPTOR BLACK CHROME FACTORY BULGE LUG NUT KIT (24) 14X1.50
Part #: WHLLN40

those were gorilla lug nuts I put on an the 2018 were 1 5/8" - exact length of the OEM's running on the beadlock capable wheels

just did a front brake pad change. my dewalt 1/2 20v torque wrench takes these lug nuts off after it has been jacked up with zero effort.

the smart money says install the same type that it came with when using oem wheels
