My brother and I had an adventure out in Southern Idaho following the bruneau/ jarbridge river canyon. It's about 2 hours outside of twin falls, maybe 3 or so from Boise. we started in twin falls and headed across the Southern idaho desert. At first the nicely graded dirt road gave us a chance to make good time wide open views and roads leads to using the raptor for what it was intended. But once we got onto the road that leads into the canyon the road quickly deteriorated and large sharp basalt rock replaced the soft dirt and gravel. along the way we saw deer, antelope, a coyote or two, and some neat old structures. once at the edge of the rim of the canyon is where the trail gets a bit difficult. it's a very narrow road, and large boulders populate the roadway with some sharp turns. about 1200 feet in decent from the top of the rim to the river bed. It was definitely worth the drive, we found hotsprings, good fishing, and excellent place to camp, and several old cars and trucks abandoned. and even found some jasper too. All and all it was an amazing journey and we think it's going to be an annual event we do.
