I've snapped axles before sliding into things. Except when I did I was doing donuts on a gravel road in the winter and had hit the side of the road where the grader had went during the warmer months and snapped the axle clean off just like that. Just a freak accident. (The axle I snapped wasn't a Raptor (or a Ford) though).

Have you tried to get it covered under warranty yet? All the other guys that snapped axles didn't have any issues getting them covered.

Yes. Sales manager said ford laughed at the pictures. No way. I still think it broke fairly easily. Not sure if the 37s make that big of a difference

The weight of the tires will have a huge impact. In addition the angle/direction of impact is an issue. Certainly not surprised that warranty doesn't cover this.

Damn, rough luck for sure there. Axles also snap easily with fatigue - it's a combination of everything the truck has been put through - not always a simple light slide into a ditch.
From the looks of those photos, you would probably like coming on some of our runs in the Calgary area once you get her fixed back up! Look up AARG or PM Strafe or me and we'll get you included if ya like.

Just trying to figure this one out...is that the rear end housing that broke?!....Snapping an axle is one thing, rather easily done, but the actual axle tube is a whole nother ball of wax!
