Your dealer does have the ability to order a complete differential assembly. My dealer was able to get a complete front differential assembly for my truck. It takes some effort on their end, but it is possible and is most likely cheaper than the 4k they are quoting you..

I think they were talking about ordering a complete axle assy (not just the diff assy). I am under the impression that the R&P is shot too and possibly bearings.

Do you know if there is anyone on FRF that would know a part number for ordering either a diff or axle assy?

If they could replace with 2013 axle/components that would best since the 2013 was upgraded. Not sure about compatibility of components between 2013 and previous years.

You have options, not to worry. Send a PM ( private message) to Wiz1500. Keith knows all the part numbers and all the skinny on ford rear ends. You can get whatever parts you need, I not to long ago replaced a tweaked axle. He is in Mi and can get you hooked up if you end up needing to fix it.
If things are as bad as they are making out, talk to Wiz first, your other option is to find a takeoff rearend. Call Connor out at Outlaw Offroad and see what he has, they end up pulling stock ones and installing Curries and the like when guys go long travel. There was a stack of them last time I was there.
Good luck, know its a bummer and hassle but the truck is worth it and in the long haul you will have a blast w your Raptor.
I am curious what really is broke, post up info as thing develop, there are a bunch of guys here that have really put some offroad miles on these rear ends without issue as long as you don't hit anything.

Thank you for the info - good to know. I will contact Wiz as you suggest.

I contacted my service dealer and asked for the replacement parts list and some pictures. I will post when I have the info.

Toasted my rear end at Raptoberfest. Your quote is similar to mine. I believe the eDiff alone is about $2200. I decided to just replace my entire rear (caliper to caliper) with a 2013 rear-end I bought used. Mine is a 2011 and the only change was one wire connect. Otherwise, the 2013, with bigger axles, etc., was plug and play. I would call around to some of the vendors per above and see if anyone can get you a better deal than a dealer on the repair or, even better, find you a "new to you" rear end. Good luck.

Thank you for the info. I would like to go the '13 route for piece of mind if possible. Do you have any detail on the '10-'12 to '13 axle conversion (p/n, wiring diagram etc..)? I assume the wire change was for the locking diff connector?

Don't know if '10 is different, but on the '11 it was just the wire to the diff. No other details, sorry. But it works, so far....
