I went to my local muffler shop and found a Borla 40349 muffler for $50 and welded in for $50. It sounds great and no drone at crusing speed. It sound so much more aggressive than the oem. I looked on ebay and they run anywhere for $110 to $189 a lot better the $1000 for the cat back.

Good choice! I never understood buying a whole catback system for these trucks. Just swap the muffler and cut the resonator out. No sense in spending another $500+ to swap 3" pipe for a different 3" pipe

Do you have any videos? I've been waiting for someone to just buy the borla muffler so I could make my decision.

Did you delete the resonator? Any pics? I have thought about going this route and then looking for some nice dual slash cut tips. Thanks for sharing the muffler part #

Also, that camel is Special Ed...the (un)official Texas Raptor Run mascot who lives at Texana Ranch, the location of TRR.
