I don't but their demo video is accurate -

It makes that noise to varying degrees every time you quickly let off the throttle.

I put approximately 25k miles on a homemade VTA mod and it sounded ok, the boomba units is noticeably louder. I can easily hear it when stereo volume is under 12 during normal driving. If driving aggressively then it is significantly louder then just venting the ebov the "cap" way. I did install this with an upgraded IC if that makes any difference.
