Is Blue Cruise an option on the 23 or a likely option on the 24 ? Is it really any good ? Would appreciate some thoughts

It’s not an option on the 23.

No one knows if it will be on the 24, there is a planned refresh so if it is added that would be the time.

Regular adaptive cruise with lane centering is decent (standard on all 21-23), Bluecruise would be nice but it isn’t world changing from what I hear.

24 is a possibility.... because anything is possible with upcoming products

Bluecruise while initially promised was deleted from 21s and no attempt was made to offer on 22s or 23s because ford could not get the system to work to their satisfaction with the unique characteristics of the raptor (height, suspension, track width, steering, drive modes). I read that as it was going to be more work/expensive than anticipated for an option that was going to have near 0 effect on sales. In fact trying and failing to offer it in the first place created a worse customer experience.

That said, considering the in-cycle refresh is due for next model year they could have spread those dev resources over a few years and used other opportunities to save costs with a goal of making it a value add for the 24 refresh. If not 24 then we wont see it till the all new truck in 27/28

I really enjoy my adaptive cruise with lane centering. Not super intrusive, it just works. It works everywhere besides only mapped roads with Bluecruise. And none of that eye-scan BS.

Honestly, my 21 Roush F150 was BLUECRUISE ready, I used Adaptive with lane centering and loved it. Finally the BC update came, and honestly, I would have rather of never did the update, and here’s why.

First, let me stop everyone that’s going to tell me I shouldn’t be texting/looking at my phone and driving. I already know this and I usually only do it when I’m the only car within a football field of me on the highway. Now that being said, with Adaptive and lane centering you just have to have your hands on the wheel and it’ll remind you like every 10 seconds if it doesn’t feel you’re movement on the wheel. When you have BC, you have to have your eyes on the road, and if you look away, you will be alerted after 6 seconds to keep your eyes on the road. I know I know, we should be watching at all times, but let’s be honest, we all want this tech so we can be a little distracted. The biggest issue is that BC doesn’t work over 81mph, so once you hit 82mph, it goes back to just adaptive with lane centering, but still dings at you every 6 seconds to keep your eyes on the road.

In all honesty, I prefer the Adaptive to the BC. Just my opinion though.

So I was under the impression that the 2024 Ford Raptor did not have BlueCruise. Just the lane keeping assistance. But I was using my cruise control this am which I rarely do and noticed the steering wheel was fighting me a tad and it felt like the truck was self driving a bit. Much more than the normal lane keeping. I noticed this symbol on the hud and damn of it does not look like BlueCruise.

The picture of the vehicle with the blue line under it is the adaptive cruise(Distance between you and the vehicle ahead), the picture of the steering wheel with the hands is the lane keeping(left to right). These can be used together or separate.

I like that you are going 54 in a 55, but have the cruise set at 80.

I always have the lane keeping on but have never seen the steering wheel with the hands before.

Yeah that’s adaptive cruise with lane centering, blue cruise is that symbol without the hands.

There is also lane keep without adaptive cruise which is more of the less intrusive “ping pong” adjustment you might be used to.
