Blinker TroubleShooting - Fast Right Turn

100% LED all lights working

yet most of the time my Right Blinker is fast...
every blue moon (now about a year)
- it will go normal speed (same as left blinker)

Now every so often both left and right will go fast..
but if I do Hazards.. all work at correct speed
(makes sense if flasher relay has a different electrical load expectation)

just wondering where I should start..

got around to updating some of the clips into a video of the issue.

Blinker Circut - but what exactly
obviously there is less load than expected so showing bulb out behavior, but why somewhat intermittent?

More history:

Purchased in 2019 - had HID Stock lights - noted issue - bulbs were all lit
- didn't mess with it.. Figured Bulb / Blinker going bad.

3 months later truck was hit - left rear (pretty much entire left side of bed
Repaired - no issues with driving - lights no change.

Figured replace headlights with Morimoto anyway
Replaced in July 2020, hoped issue would stop - possibly bad bulb

Nope Issue continues - Makes me think a wiring connection in Right Turn Circuit
same issue would be present in Left Turn - but not as often / consistent

------TLDR Point -------

Things I should try

- Check and replug all Turn Signal Plugs (Front and Rear)
check for Loose Connections?
- being I just replaced Front headlights
- doubt there but not impossible (left headlight loose had to go replug one side because it wasn't fully plugged)

- Replace turn signal relays/flasher?

- Ground Issues Possible in circuit?

if bulb was loose - would have intermittent lights failure?

All bulbs LED - ALL 100% working

So Loose Connector Possibly - but wasn't in Front - but again lights working... would expect intermittent light failure with loose plug..

Headlight loose plug = lights not working

My drivers side blinker was flashing quick about a month ago when I brought my SIL's tool box home from home depot thought maybe having the tailgate down might have something to do with it but it has done it once since and works fine now no idea what the problem was or is?

There was a guy here back in January who had a similar issue, but it seemed to be related to the cold. Ultimately I think the dealership swapped out several sets of tail lights before the issue was resolved. I’m not sure if this applies to your situation, but here’s the thread.

I still have a warranty just wasn't sure if wasting inspection fee...
like to nail it down before giving it to them to work on...

Typically with LEDs, they use a resistor to simulate an incandescent bulb. Maybe one of your resistors shorted? That would be the first place I would check.

Another option is to turn off the fast blink using forscan. Doesn't solve the underlying problem, but fixes the symptoms.

Filaments can work intermittently. I'd replace all the lamps first and then see what's what.

You could also try using forscan and turn off "bulb out" feature.
When I swapped out my bulbs to led, it hyper-flashed because of the low draw. I installed resistors but those got really hot and go bad as well. So I opted to use forscan to turn off the hyper flash and that fixed it.

No Bulbs - yes I thought same thing

XBLED are resisted and one of the better units..
Old Housing to New Housing Symptom Unchanged -
Issue would have to exist in truck or at Tail - which are factory LED -
So no Bulb - however housing and Resistors COULD Definitely be a factor!

Also huge thanks for ForScan tool Mentions - have an ODBLink MX+ so that will work perfectly!

Issue was same after replacing as before - issue follows vehicle currently
Factory Headlamps were HID -
Morimoto XBLED - are one of the main recommended - After market lights and are resisted - but that doesn't mean they're perfect - Spoke with https://gotexhaust.com/ - where I purchased Several things from -

They recommend - recheck all harness for a ground - Possibly back behind harness could have a rub point grounding out a connection - or just a bad connector causing gremlin

Verify Voltage at plugs 12v solid -
if not solid expect ground in circuit and clean up -
- CRC spray leads
- Verify Seated correctly and not Backed out in plug
- dab of Di-electric Grease
(wrap and tie back / tape harness so its high and tight for Proper Offroading)

(haven't tested tail lights)
but will start on that at some point... dig out my multimeter I guess!
