How To Blend Door Actuator Replacement with Part Numbers

Mine has 75k as well. They are replacing the high pressure lines which they said were clogged causing the cooling fans to run on high whenever the A/C is running.

That doesn't make sense. Is a closed system. Shouldn't be anything in there causing it to clog.
In any case your a.c. should work really well now.

What I was told, is that there is a valve which was clogged/not working correctly, and this was causing the fans to kick into high whenever the A/C is running. The fans do kick into high and are extremely loud, when there is a need, But they should not be running on high unless there is a need. I will have more info when I get the truck back next week.

Ok the part that was replaced was the evaporator expansion valve (TXV Valve) part number: 9L3Z-19849-A

Thanks for the great write up and all the pics, I'll need it since my '10 is out of warranty (90k mi). One question, most of you mention driver's blowing cold, but my passenger (side) is the problem, is it the same part? Just want to be clear before I dump all this labor into it.

What part did you replace in an hour? My fan seems to be louder than it should be and always on. I hope this isn't the direction I'm headed...

It was the upper blend door actuator behind the radio. Clicking noise every time I started it. I did not notice a change in the fan. I took the old one apart and found teeth gone on one of the plastic gears. 25$ at the dealer but i read it can be found cheaper.

How long did it take you to get to the gear?

The gear in the old part took no time to snap apart, I replaced the actuator and just wanted to look inside the old one.
