Black plastic valve covers ??

My 11' had aluminum, my 12' with a Feb 9th build date has black plastic...

LOL possibly!

Personally I prefer the plastic ones anyway. Lighter, and those manesium ones or whatever material they are just don't look clean in a natural finish.

I have a 2012 (delivered in Dec 2011) and it has magnesium valve covers. They must have switched in early 2012 to the plastic.

Maybe Ford went to plastic covers so the enthusiasts would be grossed out, and order these for more $$$$.
