BFG KO2 Tread Life Warranty Claim

Mine are at 47k and will probably won't get to 2/32 before 55k. I run 40 psi and rotate every 5k. Hard to see how I need to change but was looking at ridge grapplers. I just don't like weight of those, but not sure if I'd notice the difference.

The strange thing about mine is that I run them at 37psi, rotated every service, and they look more worn in the center than the edges, like they were ballooning.

Now I am fighting with BFG, or rather BFG is fighting with itself. Customer reps say I can go to any authorized Michelin/BFG dealer for tires with my approved discount. Ford dealership that was going to do other work and had cheapest tires says BFG commercial rep told them I had to go to shop which took measurements, even though no authorization was given to that shop and their shipping on the tires blows the deal up. It is surreal...literally right hand/left hand corporate BS.

I bought a new set at 30k miles and considered that normal. Didn't think anything of a tire warranty. Coming from sports sedans and SUV's I assumed 30k miles to be good, lol.

So, I've conceded, to a degree. Taking truck today to dealership for them to re-measure tires, get "new" warranty appraisal so they can put tires on. Just not worth the back-and-forth to try and make two disparate parts of Michelin/BFG work together. Not happy about it at all, but want to get this done.

The extreme differences in tread wear make me think that BFG has a quality-control problem. Soft rubber, hard rubber, buy your ticket and take your chances.

I think it is all driving styles. I bet those with high mileage tires also get really good gas mileage. To me this truck is not about trying to get more miles out of a tank of gas or the rubber. Smiles per gallon ya dig?
