Here's another tip for you guys;

Any member can click on another members profile and view prior posts of that member. If you see a suspicious new member with a low post count here, look at their previous posts. You will probably see that the only posts the person has made is to respond to other WTB listings with an email address to contact.

Thanks for the heads up, I have been a member for a while, but my one and only post was a WTB running boards. I’m legit, just a nice 66 year old guy from NE Illinois. In my thread, I posted an image of my STX Sport that needs running boards to offer some sort of confidence that I’m not a scammer.

I made my WTB post several weeks ago, the gentleman from Indiana posted that he had running boards and would provide pictures. I have yet to see any pictures from him, nor has anyone commented that they are selling running boards, so I assume I will have to find something else to put on my truck. As I mentioned in my thread, I’ve been a member for a while, but never posted, I simply read the threads of others, my other thread was a WTB, I am far from being a scammer. I will continue to read the threads on these forums, I learn a lot from the members.

I'm pretty sure 100% if anyone reply to a WTB thread and someone responded by telling you to email them, or pay with insecure method like western union, paypal FF etc.. . it's deadly fraud.
