Happens on every forum, every site, every post, everywhere now. So many people love to argue on the internet. Anyway, I got what I needed out of this thread, so carry on haha

It's good to rotate in a 5th or 6th tire because when you blow one out and the tread is at 50% on the others you're gonna need to buy 3 more new tires to have a safe setup.

and just sell the 5th OEM tire on craigslist to cover the cost of the new 5th to match your new set.

also, here's a quick lesson in math for the n00bs.... Jimbo + Ruby = :supergay:

For what it is worth, if you are midperch the bfg ko 2's would be perfect. stock rims, no rubbing at all. I would do 37's for sure. The truck is made for those size tires. Ford just changed to 35's due to regulation BS.

Really? From everything I've read on this forum it seems like any 37 inch tire will end up rubbing if you end up offroading. Is there something special about KO2s that keeps them from rubbing at that size?

35" KO2's on mid-perch...

Not a true 37. Proper wheel backspacing and some mild trimming CAN work. Do a search for the 37" thread.

read it.

learn it.

know it.

I'm on stock SE wheels. But if it's not a true 37, still requires trimming on midperch, what's the point? Why not just run 35s and not worry about it?
