I did 35% ceramic on the moonroof and they told me if you go any darker it will crack the glass, other then that the heat reduction was huge.

I thinks thats urban legend . I have double limo on my moonroof and in Arizona . But i'm gen 1

Look for LLumar F1 or CTX. 3M Crystalline I've head good things of as well... these are top of the line films at a reasonable price. If money is no concern, id try Spectra Photosync, dealer near me quoted me $1200 to do the whole truck including windscreen...

I did ceramic on the two front windows and the windshield. It’s made a big difference. Minimal light blocking in front, lots on the sides. In FL consider doing the sunroof if you’ve got one.

So what is on the back side windows?...what kinda price did you get on just the three windows?...if you don't mind me asking..

My guy charged $220.00. The back side windows are tinted from the factory. I believe they are not ceramic coated (block light but not heat). You could get more thermal blocking doing them as well. I chose not to do that initially, and at this moment I’m satisfied with the way it as now. In GA we’re hitting the 80’s but not the 90’s yet. I use a shade over the front window mostly to protect the dash when parked. My truck stays reasonably comfortable.

I am about to get 3M CR 70 on front windshield (This week). I do have factory tint on the front and read windows but you can still feel the heat come in.
In Houston, we got to 89 yesterday and it was miserable. I am expecting a bad summer so I am starting with the Windshield and depending on results I will do the rest. The shop i am taking it are recommending SunTek CIR or CPX for the rest of the truck.

I think I’m going with the 3M Crystalline. I was quoted $200 for the front side windows in 35% and $289 for 90% on the whole front windshield. Sunroof I was quoted $350 for 90%, but I’m unsure if I’m going to do it.

Good price for the windshield. I was quoted $375 and then $299 at a different place. Are you going with CR70 or 90 for the windshield? I am leaning towards 70 based on what i have been reading and also the shop told me that from 90-70 there is a big difference in performance.

Timely discussion. When I dropped my truck off this morning for PPF, ceramic coating, and tint, I was advised against doing the sunroof. They said they do it all of the time at the customer’s request and that it would likely be a nonissue, but they wouldn't warranty the work. The film soaks up heat, which can cause the glass to crack, even with a 70% film. He showed me a couple of pictures.
