The factory ones worked great but damn they wore out fast, I think I may have used them about 10 times before the rubber blade started ripping off, I guess they fall apart after a certain time whether you used them or not.
At the store I bought the ones which looked the closest to Ford OEM which ended up being the most expensive one made by Trico. The only problem is they are not as limp as the OEM so they do not make full contact on the lower curved part of the glass.
Just wondering has anyone changed just the rubber blade on the OEM wipers and can I buy just the refill blades?

I just put on a set of Bosch ICON's before the latest snow storm. They worked really well.

I also just bought some Bosch icons 22a and 22b, had to get them after having some trico black onyx on for about 6 months before they fell apart. I had bought those because the rain x latitudes that I bought didn't have the little curve to the back of them that must help them push against the glass, so they would flap around above 50. Also was wondering does everybody use 22'' on both sides, the book at the store says that what is supposed to fit but the passenger side always seems to hang off the edge when they are off.

I also discovered Bosch a few years ago and use them on my work trucks. I think they work extremely well.

I personally dont have any complaints about the OEM's. However, the OP mentioned PIAA's and I will not give them any love. I bought them for my wife's wrangler TJ. To be honest, TJ's have 13" blades and the windshield being so vertical, it may just end up being a characteristic of the vehicle itself, and those 2 variables combined may just be hard on wipers in general. the silicone PIAA blades did not last very long AT ALL and or the price I paid for them I expected a little bit better, I wont take the risk of trying them on another vehicle.

Rain‑X Latitude!!!
but I get the 24" plenty of room for them.

I also Brillo or SOS the windshield to remove all tree sap and road tar and then apply the coating that comes with the blades.

And I use Rain-X washer fluid

The Bosch Icons look exactly like the OEMs on my '12. Might try them out if they're any cheaper but up till now it's always been OEM. Everything else seems to streak too quickly.

I live in Seattle...so we take our wiper blades pretty seriously around here!
I've tried pretty much all of them except for the Bosch and the Latitudes have performed the best.
