I typically run 87 octane 100% gasoline from a branded station. As far as detergents etc., it's all fairly similar as long as it's from a Top Tier station. Top Tier Gasoline. I drive mostly around town during the week and I figure the 10hp isn't a really big deal since the torque stays the same. Also, I don't see the point in switching back and forth between 87 and 91 etc. unless you're going to empty out the tank between fill ups.

HP and torque are directly related so I doubt the torque stays the same if the HP drops

every tank has been 93 or 91, whichever is the highest. when driving to florida, many of the southern states only had 91, otherwise here at home its 93. my MPG average right now sits at 13.7, never reset it since i got it.

I happened to look today 12.1 driving like a maniac ya know chirping in 3rd gear and all.

Shell 93; every once in a while will run Chevron (91 or 93, can't remember which it is around here). In an emergency, as long as it is from one of the "top tier" sellers, that'll work in a pinch.

Found out for sure today that the local Chevron station has non alcohol premium. I'm going to be pulling a load over some mountains on Fri so I'll fill here before I leave town. I just hope I can find some on the other side for the trip home.

I'll photo the dash panel before I leave (it's at 16 MPG), again when I get there if I don't forget (going over with the trailer empty) and again when I get home (loaded with another F150 on the trailer). Should be interesting.

I posted results of the trip in the gas milage thread.

I used non alcohol Chevron 92. At least in the first tank. I'm not sure what the West side stations had.

Non Ethanol 89 here is $4.08. I've only filled up twice so far. Not sure what the dealer put in when I bought it.

There is a web site that shows where you can buy Ethanol free gas.
