Rawr my name is reptar, no one listens to me rawr, why does no one listen to me rawr

Just a casual, friendly observation man.....every single post about the Gen 2 it seems you have some sarcastic reply for somebody.

Maybe just take a break from the Gen 2 forum or a longer break from FRF altogether?? ....it's not healthy to do so much lurking and hating.

I really try to be objective but when your name appears on literally every post about the Gen 2 and it's either sarcastic, opposing, or negative, it's getting really old.

No, I'm good, I and number of others really enjoy all the fun in the gen 2 sub forum. Welcome to FRF though.

There is no Gen2 Raptor forum - well, it exists but if you base existence on the number of posts that place is DED.

And from the looks of the never-ending anti-Gen2 bile spewed around here you guys are killing any Gen2 visitors' interest in this place.

Late to the show. Everyone dissing on the not stock suspension for competition should take a little look at Porsche. The Porsche GT3 is a purpose built race car to compete in the Porsche Cup and other GT race events. The car has to be street legal to meet homologation rules. Keep in mind the car starts at more than $200k. Walk the grid at any track and see if you can find a single car with the factory suspension. Spoiler alert, there aren't any. The point is that suspension on a race vehicle is a very personal area. There is no such thing as "the best". What works for me may or may not work for others. Ford put together a solid all around package knowing the 95%+ percent of the time the truck is on the road. That 5% offroad the suspension is more capable than the majority of the drivers. Then there are those of us that want the most performance possible and will do what Ford did and ditch the stock suspension. In a sense they are doing us a big favor and testing our likely mods before we lay out any $$.

Now creating a class that has no other competitors is rather genius. To the uniformed Ford is winning everything. The marketing value of that is huge. The rest of us know it's more than a little cheesy but at least they are out there beating on it. I don't see any other manufacturers doing anything even close.

Vegas to Reno is happening this weekend for anyone who's following.

Some good photos in this thread...http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f260/raptor-photos-bitd-vegas2reno-49517/

Day one seems to have gone well - no gremlins and a respectable finish.

Ford seems to have forgotten this whole thing. I don't understand why, but they've done nothing to promote it after the first race. No twitter updates, Facebook mention, etc.

Even Foutz seems to be hoping no one will notice they're in the race.

I don't know why. We all know that it's a marketing thing and no one expects them to be leading the races or anything. It's a good demonstration of what the truck can do, even if they aren't really competing.

Anyway, follow along here if you're bored today...2016 BITD Vegas to Reno | race-deZert

GEN2 Race result!

This is Ford’s third race in the Best in the Desert series. This Vegas to Reno is the longest with over 600 miles of off-road racing.

The GEN2 Raptor came in 95th place overall! Out of over 300 competition only vehicles, many did not even complete the race. Ford Raptor was the only street legal stock vehicle that can be purchased by consumers (1200 Class). Looks like Ford Performance really backed up their claim this time with the GEN2.

I can’t wait for the delivery of mine, and to explore the open lands of the west.
