I have the MBRP 3.5" catback on 2 trucks. I like that it is 3.5" thus matching the factory headpipe and imo more suitable for the displacement and horsepower level. I am however going to be adding Stainless Works headers and their factory connect style downpipes without cats to the one truck. I am sure that will get pretty loud lol. And from looking at the stainless works idea of "factory connect" I am pretty sure it means chop and hack my catback.... cause just making the connection the nice 2 bolt flange Ford provides would be way too hard of a concept.....

That was my first attempt was Kooks to MBRP 3 1/2'' it was unbearably loud and extreme drone hated it, good luck.

Thr short wheel base stuff seems to drone. I have the MBRP on my xlt which is a 145" wheelbase like the Raptor and it drones a lot. Then the same exhaust but a foot longer on my FX4 basically doesn't drone at all. I am not to worried about it.

I have had two sets of headers on my 6.2l. Tried borla 1-3/4" off-road headers and stainless works 1-7/8" headers. both connected to Borla S-type cat-back system. Both sound absolutely amazing. Borda had a bearable drone, especially after a tune. Amazing low end torque. Then Tried the stainless works headers and man it's loud and amazing too. A very distinct sound, however the drone was pretty bad and had to put the resonator back on to cope with it. Even with that, the drone was still worse than the borla headers.Of course the truck I did this on is sold but If I were to do it again, I would look to a 1-3/4" headers. Less drone and better performance. The bola system was far superior IMO. They are both awesome systems it's just a matter of picking your beast. That's been my experience and may be different from others experience.

We have installed every system under the sun for a Raptor at our facility. My recommendation is Kooks True Dual full exhaust. It sounds the best IMO and fits better hands down. The performance gains we have seen sometimes result in 40+ RWHP! More than any other system as well. If you have any questions about Kooks or the other systems mentioned just let us know. We are a dealer for every brand, but only chose to advertise Kooks. I can match or get best deal pricing on any system you may be intersted in!

Whats the difference between Kooks green cats and regular cats?

The green cat is a metallic structure and is supposed to absorb more of the carbons and pollutants, why they are popular for emissions states. Most of the time when you install headers and high flow cats your going to get a check engine light for two codes. P0420 and P0430 catalyst efficiency below threshold, which means the reading from the front cats sensor to the rear cat monitor are seeing minimal to no difference. The cats are too high flow is what it's telling you. The green cats, although still a very high flow option absorb more of the carbons and pollutants which allow the cat monitors to see a reading difference and prevent a check engine light.

Now don't get the impression that Green cats won't provide as much performance. We have seen these cats support big power in GT500 and Mustang applications.
