I use a shower curtain rod to hold my surfboard down in the back, I know it sounds funny but works great two rubber ends and you just unscrew the rod to fit the bed. Although a shower curtain rod might not hold up to some of you hard core offroaders :) you could substitute it with a aluminum rod that works the same way and for the ends you can just attach some H channel to hook it up under the bed cap.

We are trying to pull the bed sides in, not out.

Well, I have my temp fix until someone comes up with a brace. Took 15 minutes from start to finish and everything is back as it should be. Bough all the stuff at Ace for like $30.

3/8" Bed Bolts removable anchor point- 1,400lbs brake strength 460lbs working load

x4 pack of ratcheting tie downs straps with 1,200lbs brake strength and 400lbs working load

Just pop off the rear tail lights and it exposes the inner channel and gives you plenty of room to work with.

Pics should be self explanatory (unless your user Wrong Way :laughing1:)

When not in use you can take out the hook and plug it with the supplied plastic plug

This is a nice little addition regardless, can never have too many anchor points.
