I use a ton of different size action packers here for all sorts of hunting, fishing, wheeling trips. I have an 8gal that rides in the back of my Raptor all the time with the tow strap, trailer hitch, jumper cables etc. in it. They are not indestructible like the Pelican cases, but, they are a hell of a lot cheaper and do a good job for what they are. The lids latch securely, they are strong enough to ratchet down, don't get brittle in the cold, and do a decent job of keeping rain water and dust out. They aren't water/ dust proof per-se but with some 1/4x1/4 stick on weather stripping they are pretty close if you have sensitive gear, clothing etc. in them. Just my experience so take it as my opinion only. Mileage may vary.

Here is a link to the action packer site. I know a 24gal will fit under a backflip cover and the others seem to be a little shorter so they should too. I never use the bigger ones because the 24gal can get heavy if its packed full. Plus you can use multiple smaller totes to make your storage more modular if you will.

I also have one of these that is pretty good as well. Not as water/ dust resistant as the action packers but has little exterior hooks for tie downs. Seems relatively tough and latches well. Might also be a decent solution.
