I use a ton of different size action packers here for all sorts of hunting, fishing, wheeling trips. I have an 8gal that rides in the back of my Raptor all the time with the tow strap, trailer hitch, jumper cables etc. in it. They are not indestructible like the Pelican cases, but, they are a hell of a lot cheaper and do a good job for what they are. The lids latch securely, they are strong enough to ratchet down, don't get brittle in the cold, and do a decent job of keeping rain water and dust out. They aren't water/ dust proof per-se but with some 1/4x1/4 stick on weather stripping they are pretty close if you have sensitive gear, clothing etc. in them. Just my experience so take it as my opinion only. Mileage may vary.

Here is a link to the action packer site. I know a 24gal will fit under a backflip cover and the others seem to be a little shorter so they should too. I never use the bigger ones because the 24gal can get heavy if its packed full. Plus you can use multiple smaller totes to make your storage more modular if you will.

I also have one of these that is pretty good as well. Not as water/ dust resistant as the action packers but has little exterior hooks for tie downs. Seems relatively tough and latches well. Might also be a decent solution.

Well, I'm sure it isnt coming from @TEXAS MOTORWORX (there's another chance to respond).
I sent them a PM on here AND an e-mail on their site a week ago about thier "covert bed rack" with no response.

I'm guessing @2014RubyRed and I will be fabbing something.

I'm picking it up at TRR, it's used from JayneCobb - Saint's Offroad Delta Chase Rack. Holds a jack w/ skid, 2 5-gal tuff jugs, mount for 10lbs C02 tank, and plenty of tie down points and tabs.

Well, since everyone is getting opinions & ideas, I thought I would get involved:

I'm building a rack for the bed to hold down all my gear. I've got several ammo boxes of various sizes, spare tire, jack/plate, gas cans.

I need a box to keep all the smaller gear in - 1st aid kit, tire repair kit, various flashlights, etc. I'm leaning towards building a steel box myself, but before I did, I wanted to get some other ideas.

Please give input with pictures. Thanks!!!

Update: I've got a backflip bed cover.

I want a BAKFlip F1 myself and until I get a true bed rack for spare tires, gas and jack I did this over the past weekend at Death Valley...

Three black milk crates that I picked up on Amazon. Big enough to hold a 5-Gallon fuel jug, tool bag, small shovel etc. I put my jack that is in a case between the cab and one crate. Strapped it all down and it worked fine for me and the cost was $25.

It's not a long term solution but I like the setup...
