Ya I meant no insult by it. Just an observation. I know it's not a govy but it would drive me nuts. Like I said last time, it's a cool ass idea.

I was hired at a local security place to work at on the weekends about a year ago. They gave me my uniform and the flag was backwards. I told them I wouldn't wear it and since it's all they had they told me I'd have to quit. Like I said, nothing personal, just a pet peeve of mine.

I hope SVT Guy doesn't think we are picking on him either. It was just an observation.

That is really cool. But, isn't the flag backwards on that side of the truck? what does the other side look like?

its correct on this side and the same on the other. just like a flag you would see flying.

I said that before. The stars should be facing forward.

Well, it's flying with the wind if he drives it in reverse all the time.... Come on Guys, this is POV, not a US Government vehicle. Lighten up!

Yea but you probably wouldnt see many stars the way its layed out (stock sticker shape). I still think it looks bad ass. Uniforms have it "backwards" to indicate that the US does not run. However I still say its backwards because it is compared to a flag you see hanging on flag pole.

I was waiting for someone to point that out. I didnt want to say anything. Haha. Technically it is wrong but most people dont know the stars should always face forward. It probably wouldnt look right if it was turned around anyways. I still think it looks damn good!

its oriented like a flag on a flagpole. I dont see anything wrong with that...

It is generally assumed that the flag pole is the front of the vehicle, so as it moves forward, the flag streams out behind. The orientation is seen as normal on the left side of the vehicle and reversed on the right.

I understand that it is a personal vehicle and he can do what he wants. Those that said there wouldn't be many stars if it was reversed are probably correct, but that is why I asked what it looks like on the other side of the truck. The stars would be forward on the left side of the truck. So both sides would be the same.

Some people would say that it is only a partial representation and not the true flag. If it was my truck, it would be oriented in reverse. But, it is not. All I can do is say my peace. I still like the idea though.

Just to clear up this little debate, I went in and looked this up. I knew I seen it somewhere before, I just couldnt remember exactly where. Maybe its just a military thing or even just an Air Force thing (since this is quoted out of an Air Force document), but according to AFPAM 36-2241 section 8.2.4.3.12, the union should be facing forward. Think about it like this: If you attached a flag pole to your vehicle, the union is at the top, closest to the pole. When driving forward, the stripes would trail behind. This is by no means meant to call anyone out or say "Your wrong, you need to change it." Im just posting this as a little FYI. When serving in the military, you kinda have a different appreciation for the flag. Im sure anyone who was/is in knows where Im coming from. Again, Im not trying to make anyone sound dumb or say your wrong. This is definietly the best graphics Ive seen on a raptor and will be looking into doing this myself.
