I was planning on doing the Raptor ands pairing it with a Ducati Panagale R as the go fast, has fun toy... Last time I ordered a car it was a BMW M5 back in 2013/14. I canceled the order just before delivery because I wouldn't be able to do the 600 HP RWD in the North east winters... It just wasn't going to work as a daily driver and I lost a parking spot for a beater/ winter car in my building. But the M5 only took 3 months to come in, including shipping across the Atlantic for a week and a half - two weeks. The next M5 is going to be 80/20 split with AWD, but that won't be out for another year or so... IDK what to do at this point. My lease is up in about a month on my current car so something has to get figured out.

Sounds like you are really into cool cars! I've only had a few BMW's, most recently two 2014 335i xDrive sedans. First 335i had the notorious HPFP failure, within 300 miles off the showroom floor. Dealer came with a flatbed, and had that one in the shop for just over a month. They supposedly fixed it, and Service Manager hand delivered me the car to my house, about 42 miles away. Car sat in my garage for a few hours, and I got in it, fired it up, pulled out of the garage, and sounded like a huge backfire. Idled terrible right after. I was furious. Called the Service Manager back and told him to get this piece of sh*t out of my driveway. Again, they picked the vehicle up. Tore into it. Turned out to be more complicated than just a high pressure fuel pump. They said it "may need a new engine". Vehicle had around 500 miles on it at the time. I refused to take the 335i back. General Manager of the dealership got involved, tried reasoning with me. We had another month long standoff, with the BMW just sitting on their lot. I refused to take it back. Eventually, manager took me serious, and offered me a replacement 335i, again, right off the showroom floor. This '14 ran correctly, nice and strong, but I didn't even want to chance it, so sold it with less than 300 miles on the clock. Whoops, sorry, this is a Raptor forum, not bimmer forum!

Anyway, a local Corvette friend of mine absolutely loves BMW's, motorcycles and cars. I guess I mention all this, as there is huge overlap in Raptor truck enthusiasts liking a myriad of different performance vehicles, everything from M5's to Polaris RZR's to CanAm X3's. Hope you have fun, with whatever you get :) .

Hopefully Ford Service catches up..they had info for me before my dealer. Funny how inconsistent just about every aspect of this raptor ordering process is.

Just thought I'd touch base on this again Lightman, since I just got done communicating with both Ford Performance and Ford Service. They both told me the same thing--they have no information pointing towards me having a build date of March 20th. But, before the blood boils, they both also told me, "I'm happy to clarify this for you. As a preliminary resource for customers, our order information is very limited to the order status and the ETA. The dealership will have more details available to them. This is because the vehicle order originate from the dealerships themselves."

I thanked them both for their respective help, but am solidly convinced that they do not have "better" information than your dealers. Quite the contrary, they are there as an additional help resource, but they have limited, antiquated, behind-the-ball information. So, I personally do not need to contact them again.

Damn That sucks about the BMW! I'm glad they ended up Taking care of it and getting you a new car in the end. I don't Balme you for wanting to get rid of it very quickly, even though it was a brand new car. Yea, I can see we all love or cars/toys here. defiantly nice to be among like minded individuals!

Oh no, that's not good luck! How bad was the damage? How big was the tree?

Medium size pine tree. It hit the right side of the bed and crushed it in about 8/9 inches. Limbs did put a couple small dents on roof and right rear door. Told owner of the empty lot next door I was dropping every tree that could reach my driveway and house, this is the second time this has happend. He already sent a check for my deductible at least. Was not a fun Saturday. I took some anger out with my chainsaw and felt a little better. Dealer said 15/17 work days in shop. Translation, a month.

Man, I really feel for you, I'm sorry. It reminds me of the exact situation I had a few years ago. Built a nice house in a wooded area. 95% of the surrounding trees were Ponderosa Pines. Should have bought the lot next door, as those damn trees were always threatening my house, along with, like yourself, any vehicles I had parked outside (which sometimes included a '14 Raptor). Contacted the vacant lot owner, and politely asked him if I could either take down some of the trees, or at least have them professionally trimmed (no way I could do it; limbs were 25 feet and up). Jerk didn't give me permission. So, I eventually told him, "Well, I was asking, as it would be more healthy for the trees to trim them correctly. However, I have every right to trim any of the trees that have branches in my air space, over the property line. He finally gave me permission to trim. I spent thousands of dollars. Then the jerk turns around a few months later and literally clear cuts the entire lot of every one of the pines. Just ridiculous.

Anyway, I'm sorry you had the trouble, and I too have found some solace in swinging around a chainsaw, along with lots of target practice with some high caliber weapons. Glad to hear that the owner sent you a check for the deductible at least. Hopefully, your truck will be returned looking like it never happened.

I don't think its a maybe or possibility. If the options are in your order, and you're order gets pulled, your truck gets built with those options you requested IE beadlocks and CF. If your truck gets built with out those options and you didn't tell your dealer to drop them from the order to get built, your dealer pulled them on their own because they want the truck to get built and make some money. That would be very ****** of them to do. My sales rep called me last week and said if I drop beadlocks from my order, It will get scheduled. I said I want the wheels. So here I am still waiting... But if my dealer card me, told me my truck was getting built, and I saw there were no beadlocks on the window sticker once I got the VIN, there would be an issue. BTW, A dealer by me just got a loaded SCREW with beadlocks and CF. I KNOW these things are getting put on orders so this is really pissing me off at this point.
