Hey good luck to you guys! I feel your pain. I posted earlier in the thread that my dealer recommended taking off the beadlock wheels due to being on constraint. I was pissed, but tired of waiting for a build date (ordered mid Sept), so made the change. This was all back at the end of Jan. I got a VIN and was scheduled for a build date less than two weeks after that. But, losing the wheels took a bit of the excitement out of the whole process. So, I've been reviewing aftermarket wheel options for the last month. Last Thursday I checked Craigslist for the first time and found a guy locally that had a new set of the 17 bead lock wheels that were a take off from his new truck. Got the set for $1380 and no tax or shipping. When my truck arrives I'll sell the stockers. In the end, everything will work out and I'll actually save a few bucks. So, if any of you guys are pissed about the BL situation, keep your eyes open because they are out there. And I'm sure there will be many more available as more trucks roll out and owners upgrade to aftermarket wheels. Now let's just hope my truck arrives in good shape!

Nice, good to hear it all worked out for you! It's been a hell of a long wait, but I will be getting my forged wheels, from the factory, so all will be forgotten once I get the truck :). Well.....I will remember what a disaster it was....but I am glad I kept my beadlocks, and the truck will come as I wanted it. I can certainly understand the advice of taking them off your order to expedite things, but a big reason for me not doing such was that my dealer kept telling me there is "no constraint on them". My dealer has only received 1 out of 7 allocations so far (checked with him an hour ago), and it had the beadlocks. So a shrouded mystery......

Just an update to yesterday's conversation. The VIN I was given was in fact another customer's Raptor (Avalanche with full graphics and tailgate applique). My truck was ordered correctly (reportedly at this point), but it's still early enough that my VIN only produces, "Please check back later. The window sticker has not yet been released for this vehicle."

All appears to be well and good. Scheduled build date of March 20th....

Well that worked out!

Well that worked out!

Thanks, yeah, I think it will all work out, for everyone, eventually! At some point, all of us will be talking about our trucks and what we like and don't like about them....rather than about Ford Service, Ford Performance, Customer Relations Center, our dealers, Ford as a corporation.....

Asked Ford performance on facebook and they said we are looking at summer potentially for beadlock wheels for Gen 2 to be bought through their catalog(no restrictions here). Now based on the Gen 1 raptor beadlocks on their catalog listed at $699 each, it is quite a bit more expensive than buying through as an option.

I don't compromise on options from the factory just the way it is and I can wait. Others would do what you recommend.

Totally agree with you. I have modified many vehicles, to a very high level, over the years. After all that, I really prefer factory options. Do it right, the first time, from people that have lots of R&D into the project. For those that think and do otherwise, no negativity from me. But, I personally prefer factory work.
