My RR made the infamous rattle noise on cold start so I bought an S type Borla exhaust. I took it to a custom four wheeler place that has put on Borla exhausts before and recommended them. After owning it for a day I would not recommend the exhaust. The front flange that mounts to the truck’s exhaust was almost impossible to get to fit. Clearly something changed on the production truck and Borla did not modify this fitting. Then the pre welded tips at the back do not match up, so one sticks out further than the other. Doesn’t look great. Borla says no drone, compared to a WW2 tank I am sure it is quieter at 70, but not by much. Think of flying a p51 mustang over the interstate and you get the idea. I can’t imagine how loud the attak version is, I am guessing the s-type is illegal from a decibel perspective. If loud is what you want, this exhaust fits the bill. On the bright side, fixed my rattle.

I went with Borla over AWE because another Member had an odd noise and returned his exhaust. Mine doesn’t make an odd noise, just is louder than I expected given the marketing. Probably twice as loud as my GT500, which sounds great. And no, it doesn’t make a difference if it is set on quiet, normal, sport or Baja. Has anyone else experienced this with their Borla exhaust?

I just have the tips (axle back) and quality is good. Sound is still lacking for my taste, so I will continue my exhaust journey.

I went with the Borla tailpipe setup and I am pretty happy with it. The quality is good its was pretty easy to install sounds great with the remaining stock exhaust very little drone and works well with the drive modes. I didn't feel like my R needed a full exhaust system replacement.

Maybe you should go back with the stock system and just use the tailpipes..

Does the axle back set up remove the weird cold start rattle that seems to be plaguing the stock system? Assuming you had that issue before the swap.

My 24R was purchased back in May of last year so I am assuming it was built FEB/March time frame. The truck is not my daily drive so it is still low millage just over 4K on it. I never had any exhaust rattles but when I was installing the Borla tailpipes I gave it a good inspection and retorqued all the exhaust clamps. So far so good

I did a Type S on mine the tolerances were excellent . I installed it my self and was impressed with the fit & finish. I find it slightly louder than stock except at start up . Had it a local shop when they restarted it to take it out it shook the pen container off the checkout desk . It definitely has a roar Lol
