I installed the set of BD sport reverse lights I purchased. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to install lights, run harness and connect to #6 Upfitter switch.
First thing I did was remove the 10 mm nuts that hold the rear exhaust hangers so I could gain a little clearance by wedging a short 2x4 between the pipe and spare tire. This allowed me a little more room to work with the allen wrench to tighten the lights to the brackets.
Once I had the lights mounted I had to run the harness to the Upfitter switch wires on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
I used an electricians wire tape and ran it from the front to the rear through the passengers side frame rail. EZ PZ. I then pulled the harness after I connected it all together from the rear back to the front.
This took me all of about 15 minutes by myself.
I then had to find the wire for #6 Upfitter switch. As stated in other post the manual diagram is all wrong. I used a test light and pulled the factory wire caps off one by one until I found #6.
I didnt hard wire the harness to the upfitter wire because I may change to another switch depending on what other lighting I may ad. The bullet connector should be fine for now.
I hope my pictures show up. I would of much rather done a video but I had to do this project alone and I had my hands full with wire and a beer or two. LOL
