New Mexico, it ain't "new" & it ain't "mexico"
Posted previously about battery drain on my Gen3 and several trips to dealership resulted in nothing more than charging the battery and telling me to return if problem continues or trying to sell new battery. Eventually, through posts on this forum replaced the OEM battery with a X2Power (775CCA) less than 6-months ago. Recently, in the last month getting "remote features disabled" alerts and in the last two weeks had to jump battery for it to start almost every other day.

Schedule a week ago for today specifically requesting testing to see if they can discover an issue. Tech just called and started with trying to sell me new OEM battery before any diagnostic as that is Ford's procedure. Went on to explained the current battery showing less than 360-amps. After back-n-forth, they agreed to charge current battery and run diagnostic but may not get to it today/through testing today, also may be all out of pocket depending on if they find anything. No loaner / no rental available, although at time of scheduling it was no issue.

Even with a battery tender (Victron IP65) used intermittently just can't seem to keep a battery in this beast fully charged, and drive it a minimum of 45-50 minutes round trip weekdays but not many LONG road trips.

Love this beast, but it has been constant battery drain that may be its demise...

I've had the worst luck with batteries in new vehicles and now I am convinced that the best thing I can do is put my battery on a trickle charger one night a week. I have a rather short commute to work, about 15 minutes by side streets, and while I usually try to drive enough to ensure the oil is mostly warmed up when I arrive at work, I know my commute is killing the battery. I have a CTek MX 5.0 battery charger which I use on my BMW as well.

I purchased my truck on 12/1/2024, and the production date was late September 2024, already the stealership has replaced the battery under warranty because they claimed it didn't pass a load test.

Ford is in the mist of a recall for defective batteries in the Bronco and one other model at this time. The dealership should be able to detect if there is something draining the battery.

I had to read a few times to catch that you replaced the battery. amateur and shade tree mechanics are the worst service department customers because they will tend to rule out some recommendations, leaving the tech with a ‘variable’ they can’t account for. We all spend a little time as “that customer”, so just be cognizant of this (it sounds like you’re trying to work with the stealership).

Honestly, charging your battery rather than going with a new, confirmed battery still leaves a variable here. If it doesn’t work, this is the first out for the service department. i’d rethink this choice.

You know how when IT departments suggest rebooting the computer to fix a problem? It’s because statistically it resolves about 80% of issues that come into help desks. It completely flushes memory for one so you are working with a “clean slate”. Often times it’s the simple things that complicate troubleshooting the most when they’re overlooked.

I know they have a way to test for parasitic drain, but I still remember a Jen Too that had a charge issue. The service department put a video camera in the truck cab and found that some period after shut down, the sync screen would fire back up. That was the drain.

This is a very frustrating issue, for sure. When you changed the battery, did you perform a BMS reset?
Are there any pending OTA updates for your truck - have the stealership verify. ’24 Mustang has had a BMS module update, so I would guess there could be some cross platform programming similarity.

I hope you get this resolved!

i just replaced my battery on my own dime at 17k on 2024 37pp. My window regulator was acting up. I tried to reset it. Did not work, did a battery test, and it failed.
You can try to turn off your exterior lighting off on your menu, some say that helps.
