You go as far as you can go…. Then turn around.
Besides conditions change constantly. That’s why I’ll always pre-run a trail in the desert that I’ve run a hundred times before, if I plan on running it hard/fast. This week the trail may have a New 3’ gap/ditch

I think the million-dollar highway has to be the most scenic and beautiful in the country. I love stopping overnight in Ouray and taking in the hot spring spas and getting a big fat steak. The first year that I went (didn't have my Raptor then) I mountain biked around Marble CO and the marble mine was closed, so cool to explore! The last time I went they were mining marble again so you couldn't get close to the mine, it spoiled some of the fun we had before.

We have done Black Bear several times. Relatively easy, but kind of scary. Hope to do it again late summer 2023.
