Hello FRF and googlers. I am super stoked to share this. I am a major follower/ fan of high end LED lighting. My truck has run various lights from Rigid Industries, VisionX, KC Lights, “Amazon specials” and now, finally, Baja Designs.

Disclaimer , I don’t own a Raptor, but, I check this forum daily and have been following, occasionally posting, for three years now.

I am posting this here, instead of ram forum, because Baja Designs is active on this forum and I want to say thank you. Second, I utilized a FRF authorized vendor “Alternative Off Road” and I want to say the customer service was fantastic. Third, I think FRF would benefit from this post more than ram forum.

So, there is the box straight from San Marcos:

Inside, I pulled all this out:

I took my 24” VisionX XPR off... and.... replaced it with a 20” Baja Designs ONX6+!!!

I flipped the switch on the Baja Designs ONX6+ and.......

Now, I took these with my IPhone. Photos do a pretty good job, however, seeing it in person is much better.

I am extremely satisfied with this light. I would recommend BD hands down. I just want to say Thank you BD and thank you Alternative Off-road. Will be buying more lights in the future. Not trying to muddy the water by posting a Ram 1500 in this group, but, I hope you guys enjoyed the read. I will post an update at the one year mark. [emoji4]

We love Baja Designs. Lights look awesome. We're a big Baja Designs dealer as well and we love the folks over at Alternative Offroad. We stock their awesome pillar brackets for the Raptors. So you went with a winner there. Good company, good products.

I'll add to this this. I've had 2 issues with my BD lights. Both required replacement lights. Called them and inside of a 2 minute phone conversation, I had a replacement light on the way. Their customer service is absolutely incredible.

So, I have been trying to figure out how to best post this. I was going to wait and do my one year update but decided to just post a little bit sooner.

Late last month, I got a pretty decent snow. It stuck around for a few days and there have been temps hovering in the low 30’s. My windshield, headlights and off-road lights had that typical cloudy cold weather fog. I didn’t think anything of it. I just turn the wind shield defroster on and away I went.

Well, I was heading to work at night and noticed an obvious flickering/ flashing of my ONX+ as the light projected onto the roadway. The following day, I went out side to investigate and found condensation behind both lenses. I was a little bit bummed, but, my VisionX XPR light bar developed condensation a little while back. So, shit happens and I wasn’t really caught off guard.

I called Baja designs and, within a few minute conversation, had a new light shipped to my house. All I had to do was use the package, inclosed return shipping label and send my light bar back. How awesome is that. Talk about customer service! Very pleasant/ easy to deal with.

I was also told over the phone, based on photos I sent over via email prior to calling, that my anodized coating was being warrantied due to the fading.

The new light came in and I got a few side by side comparisons photos:

Prior to calling, I put the original combo lens back on so I could still have my wide cornering lens. After talking to the BD rep, he asked what lens I wanted and I told him I liked the wide corning so I selected that pattern. The condensation started to build up on the Combo lenses too when left over the following nights.

So, now I guess I will have two wide Corning lens lol. I figured I could take the combo off, but, honestly, the Allen screws seems a little soft and I would rather not mess with it. I think BD should include an Allen wrench with their lights despite the fact I bought an Allen wrench specifically for this light. Not all 2.5mm Allen keys are created equal and BD might be able to provide a better/ tighter fitting key.

One thing I found odd was the fact the light BD sent me did not have a “Moisture block.” Likely a new design and if it is an issue I am sure BD will chime in on this forum.

Overall, this doesn’t deter me from buying a BD light at all. I will post how the replacement treats me one year out from now. But, honestly, it is a very bright light and sometimes issues happen. This is not enough for me to bash the BD brand. If anything, it made me support BD more. So much so that I put a sticker on my truck. I never put stickers on my vehicles lol.

In closing, I wanted to share a story. A buddy of mine bought a brand new Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 right off the showroom floor awhile back. He is meticulous with this car and did not even get to the recommend brake in miles before the check engine light went off. He immediately pulled over and had a tow truck take it to the dealer.

This car is so unique that ford had to fly in a special technician to diagnose the problem. Well, ford warrantied the car, bought it back and gave him a full refund. Sometimes, even on high end specialized products, shit happens. It is just the nature of the beast in high production products that push the limits of innovation.

My buddy didn’t let that deter him. He went out and bought another GT350. Still has it and is extremely extremely happy with the car. Life goes on. His experience reminded me on my ONX+.

Good customer service can expect a few return orders. Great customer service can earn a customer for life. If you are nervous about spending the $$$$$ just know BD will take care of you if anything happens that is out of your control.

Got the new light mounted up. Figured I would try my best at obtaining a night shot. This is an area being prepped for residential home construction.

Baja Designs ONX+ 20” wide cornering. The photo is ok considering I used an IPhone 8.
