Ive always ran Rigid lights since light bars came out.

Switched to Baja Designs on this new truck (Just because they were a local San Diego company faster customer service if needed i guess)

My rigid use to run perfect never run through fuses.

My BD light is cooking 20 amp fuses daily and its driving me nuts

Anyone have this issue or figure out a solution?

I cant put a bigger fuse otherwise ill need to rewire the entire damn thing.

Relay harness would work for you and can even be connected to the 5a switches. You'll need to run the relay wiring harness but that should be a lot easier than rewiring the OEM lines.

if the draw is more than 70% of the circuit and you're also using wiring that is too thin for the draw, you'll keep popping fuses. It could also be a short, or a less than optimal ground.

if you're running an onx6 and it is any bigger than a 10" bar, a 20A circuit isn't enough. (they pull approx 8.5A per 10" LED section.)

perhaps you have a short to ground that is popping the fuse. might not be the light itself, unless it has an internal short.. start by inspecting the wiring..

You might have to use a relay off the up switch if your over 20 amps

Sorry about the issue. Please give us a call at 800-422-5292 or email [email protected] and we'll help diagnose the issue.

What's the exact model? How is it wired?

I did the opposite on this truck. Previous Raptor had all Rigid lighting and I wasn't impressed with the output. Switched to BD for this truck and very impressed. Everything has been trouble free. No doubt they will get it sorted for you.
