Lets try to upload these pictures again. There is plenty of room when you open the hood with the SDHQ mounts, no concern there. I ran the wires under the plastic weather stripping and trim and into the engine bay. No rubbing on the harness when opening the hood.

Antenna options I'm still pondering, just to fill the hole, I will most likely cut down an antenna and spray it black, it will end up being 1" tops, and useless but I don't use the radio so no concern there.

I want to thank Chad and Nick from Apollo Optics, they have been a huge help. And Paul from Baja Designs has gone above and beyond answering questions, and helping me get these wired up how I want versus turning me away.

Paul deserves a raise. We have chatted a handful of times over the phone and via email, his help and patience is much appreciated.

Took the truck out last night, it's bright as expected, but I will be adjusting the passenger A pillar angle to face slightly outwards to combat the side leds from shining directly at me, maybe even paint over that section if necessary. Last thing to do is to follow up with Paul on wiring up a 2nd relay to protect the light incase both upfitters (low and hi) are triggered at the same time.

At first I thought the lp6's would be obnoxious but I feel the larger light fits the trucks size just fine and they have grown on me. Lots of turning around as I walk into Home Depot for 1 more look.

Baja Designs | SAE Approved Lighting | 4/25 UPDATE

Our team is working hard to release the SAE approved lighting. The ETA is currently set for June. White will be the first color released. We are currently working on getting the Amber finalized. I hope to start Pre-Orders soon. Please keep an eye out for details!

Note: There will NOT be an SAE Lens Kit available. SAE approved lights use a completely different lens and optic compared to the normal Squadron. Customers will have the option to send their light in to be upgraded, I hope to share pricing and other details soon.

Here at Baja Designs we know that you’re interested in a quality product that you can rely on for work, weekend adventures, and for the ultimate driving experience. Our products face rigorous testing before they are made available to the public and we ensure that they have the proper technology accompanying the performance to make the product last a lifetime. One of the requirements we put on all our LED lights is the IP69K standard.

Many of our competitors have an IP67K rating instead of IP69K. Find out why the IP69K rating is far more superior and how Baja Designs exceeds these standards:

I already have a 30” OnX6 LED bar and want to install it behind the grill. Do you sell just the mounts to do this?

BD will chime in but I'm pretty sure there is not enough room to mount those behind the grill....pretty sure this why they use the small single row S8...those "smaller" lights kick ass for their size!

Was hoping this was one of those lights that mount up above rear bumper and under tailgate as all those seem lousy quality.
