Bad news... (the One and ONLY thread about the shortage of Tuxedo Black paint)

Here is what my dealer wrote me about my order I placed for a Black Raptor on 2/12.

"We received word yesterday that a "material hold" has been placed on all F-150s scheduled with a Tuxedo Black exterior until further notice.

This hold has come about due to a supplier issue out of Japan and is a result of the recent earthquakes in that country."

Now I need to decide what to do... I want this truck but I don't want to wait 6 months for it.

wth, that really sucks. can't believe that the paint comes from Japan. u'd think that there would be tons of places they could get paint to match it in America

Just change it to Blue Flame...looks much better anyway.

Does not make sense that Ford would source one color of paint from Japan. Any paint supplier can mix the color. Ford stops production for paint?
