Backup screen, intermittently blacking out....

longtime reader of the forum, first post though! great resource!!I just received my new 2020 screw Thursday, replacing a 2018 screw, an have had a couple of instances where the backup camera blacks out. Not a complete blackout, images are barely visible but not good enough to be useable. Any ideas to fix this? No sync update available,

Yep, you’re not alone. I posted in the other thread my issues which range from blackout, to rainbow extravaganza to normal. Ford is saying bad camera and they’re replacing it. I guess we’ll see how it pans out.

thanks for your reply, had the rainbow screen today, did a master reset on the head unit and resolved it! I wonder if it will last ! Ill update in a couple of days...

I hope that does the trick for you! Unfortunately, mine will work fine for days on end and return. So far, it’s worked flawlessly since last Thursday but I’ve been down this road before.

Hey TX, yes it is but the sign is mine. So, I had my truck ceramic coated and Feynlab included that sign along with their product information. I hang it up whenever I go to the dealership for a little extra peace of mind.

Had this issue with mine a couple times and checking the connection by the trailer hitch has corrected it temporarily. I’m curious if the connectors are bad on some. Mines a 2020

I guess that's more polite than the sign that says, "Don't have one of your 18 year old booger eaters wash my truck and fu** it up!"
