Anybody have an issue with their back glass randomly shattering?

I came out to the truck after work yesterday and see the back glass in tact, but shattered. I looked over the whole panel for an impact and couldn't see anything that might have kicked up from the street and hit it.

A friend says it's a problem with the defrost causing it. Just want to check if I'm alone in this one.

Nope.
@Gilligan just went through it. Best bet is pull the fuse for that sucker once you repair it.

happens all the time. If you have the factory warranty left you'll be good, if you have the premium ford extended warranty you'll also be covered(thats what I have). Just make sure to keep mentioning it's the defroster that broke.

If you dont have either warranty i've heard people go through their insurance, i've also seen people say these cost anywhere from like $600-$2000 for these windows so if you go for option 4 of paying for it yourself make sure to call around to every local car window place in your area.
